A workshop with Dr. Gail Atchison.
Maya Angelou said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
The first few minutes of a conversation will set the stage for whether that conversation will end well, or disastrous. This workshop will present various ways a person, couple, or team leader can organize information to present an issue that needs resolution. We will look at I statements, describing the issue clearly, how the issue affects you, and how one stays out of the “blame” game.
Healthy communication is not easy, but with practice we can contribute to a kinder, gentler connection with others.

Dr. Gail works with the LGBTQ community, couples, families, grief and loss, and addictions, as a life coach. She has a PhD in Organizational Psychology and Human Behavior, a Post Doc in Trauma, a master’s degree in Divinity, a master’s in Psychology and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Pre Law. She is an ordained minister in the MCC Church. She lives in Lewes with her dog Bailey, and is in private practice.
